Aggressive Large white XL Bully/mastiff in a no dog park

Adroddwyd drwy mobile yn y categori Dog Related Incident yn ddienw am 17:40, Mer 22 Tachwedd 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Anfon at Bromley Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 5242840.

Last night around 835pm I was going to walk through Queens Gardens when I saw a large white XL Bully/Mastiff dog off the lead in a No Dogs Allowed park. I know this dog to be aggressive towards people so I had to alter my journey and go the long way around as the male with the dog did not have it in a lead and I know her cannot control the dog. I am concerned that the owner is now using this park in the evening which makes it even more dangerous for those of us wishing to walk safely through the park. On top of that there are signs on all the entrances saying “No Dogs Allowed”.

  • This information has been passed to our Parks Security contractor to monitor the area and issue Fixed Penalty Notices where an offence is observed. Enforcing against dog offences is extremely difficult, signs can deter but are often ignored by irresponsible owners. If you are able to provide us with any information regarding specific locations, breed of dog, description of owner, timings of offences or any other further information that would be most helpful.

  • Despite you having put up new ‘No Dogs Allowed’ sign this dog is still running out of control in Queens Gardens. It’s was there this evening around 8.50-9pm, so I had to walk the long way home from work again. This dog looks like a Dogo Argentino which was banned in the UK in 1991 under the Dangerous Dogs Act. It is also banned in several other countries. It runs in the park off lead, not muzzled, not under control, however the is breed should have naturally died out in the UK years ago! When the dog isn’t in this park it will be in the green space between The Glades car park and Harwood Avenue, where it also runs free. This dog need to be dealt with before someone is seriously injured or worse. This breed was banned for a reason! Please act as soon as possible to prevent anything awful happening.

  • It’s not regular. But he usually arrives with his dog between 8.45-9.15pm. The dog is a white Dogo Argentino, which was banned many years ago in the UK. I don’t know why you are asking for all this information again as it’s clearly all documented in this line of messages. This dog needs to be dealt with before it harms someone.
