Dangerous pedestrian crossing

I witness so many near misses on this crossing. Very often cars just don’t bother stopping (usually because they’re speeding down from Llantrisant road - the speed some of them fly over the roundabout is frightening). As a pedestrian I feel very vulnerable, and the odd car that does bother to stop quite frequently nearly gets rear ended by the car behind who doesn’t realise they’re stopping. I have witnessed one accident myself and seen the aftermath of 3 others in just the last 2 years. Fortunately it’s only cars that have been damaged so far to my knowledge. PLEASE can the visibility of this crossing be addressed, or the speed of cars addressed (and no don’t just say the 20mph rule will help because it clearly isn’t). Please do this before someone is seriously hurt or worse. It’s a popular route for many school children crossing from Radyr High and Danescourt primary school. Plasdwr have shiny new light controlled lights for their residents on the very same road, just a few hundred yards up the road. In arguably a much more visible location anyway. Please can we have the same?

Not fixed and the Council hasn’t responded. Witnessed a car nearly skid into the back of another just yesterday as they were using the roundabout as a racetrack. Which would be fine if there was a poorly lit pedestrian crossing on one of the exits. It would be brilliant if this could be improved BEFORE someone dies.

Not fixed and no one has bothered to respond. Cars continue to speed, ignore the crossing and skid to avoid slamming in to the back of the ones who do manage to stop. One day a pedestrian will be seriously hurt if not killed here. Shameful lack of interest by the Council when further up the road in shiny plastic Plasdwr there are light controlled crossings every 2 metres.
