Multiple potholes, from Beech Ave to Tesco Express, on south side of Glasgow Road.

This problem is where previously filled potholes and broken surface repairs are degenerating over a long stretch of the south side of Glasgow Road. The stretch needing resurfaced is from Beech Avenue junction eastwards, south side to about halfway to Shopping area ( Tesco Extra etc.). Much of the A89 has been resurfaced recently - Baillieston Main St. and Glasgow Road from Bannerman School to Barrachnie Cross. This linking stretch has merely been pothole filled and is eroding quickly.

  • Still no progress as the situation worsens.

  • There is now some activity that suggests a patchwork approach to fixing the severely rutted road. The other stretches of carriageway from Barrachnie to Baillieston were resurfaced not just patched.

  • The numerous faults have been repaired by laying down patches of tarmac. This is in contrast to the total resurfacing of the stretch from Barrachnie Cross to Baillieston in stages in the recent past.
