Clearing required

This has been previously reported and listed as fixed, which is incorrect.
Please can the remaining roots of the low-lying brambles and holly bushes, and the tree stump, be removed please. The contractor who did the rest of the clearing said that he did not have the correct tools/equipment with him to complete this task and recommended this be requested again on FixMyStreet.
The remaining roots & tree stump continue to be a hazard in an otherwise open green space where children play regularly. Finishing the clearing will also remove the need for unnecessary and costly ongoing maintenance, as the brambles and holly will inevitably grow back if the roots remain, and reduce the chance that green waste will be fly-tipped here again, as it has been before. It will also mean that a new tree can be planted here, to replace the large tree that recently fell down at this location, in the next planting season.

Thank you for your enquiry. Works are raised to grind out the oak stump and holly roots which is in hand to be completed by the contractor. A replacement Oak has been added to the planting schedule 2024/25 and will be replaced in the next planting season starting in November 2024 running through to March 2025. In light of trees failure, I will return next week to continue to inspect the trees for site and raise works as required.

My apologies, recent damage to trees caused by Storm Henk has led to all the teams working through the clear up process and the teams will be back to completing routine works as soon as this is completed. Thank you for your patience.

Please accept our apologies, according to our records, the contractor has marked the works as completed and a service failure has been raised for the contractor to rectify the works. We are working with the contractor to resolve this as soon as possible.
