New traffic island hazard

The new traffic island on court road just before turning right into the highway is a hazard and a danger to drivers. This has been there for months now with no road markings. I have witnessed on more than one occasion cars nearly driving into it. I thought the idea was to protect people from danger. It causes danger to drivers as you can now only fit 2 cars in waiting to turn right, causing traffic to build up on court road, and there is not even enough room for cars turning right to straighten up and end up sticking out. This island serves no purpose and needs to be removed.
