Street light is wonky

It appears that the street light has been damaged and it is leaning quite alot towards the houses and parked residents cars and does not look safe at all.

  • Resident called to say bottom half of lamppost is there and is the electric part so is rather dangerous.

  • Lampost has been partially removed. Electrical section still remains. This is now a serious danger and it is still being hit by vehicles as it is now below sightline for drivers. Please advise urgently when the remainder of the lampost will be removed.

  • Contractors have been out to the location, and were going to put a new lamppost in. The location id a obstruction for number 10's driveway. The new lamppost didn't get fitted, however the stump of the old lamppost still remains. This is still a danger with electrics. Resident would like a update on what's happening, and also if a lamppost does get renewed, it would need to be relocated so as its not a obstruction

  • Still awaiting removal of lampost stump. Only lower part of lampost remains containing electrics. This is still causing a hazard for vehicles accessing Porthallow Close as it is being hit on a regular basis by drivers turning to exit the Close. The lampost stump requires removal and re-locating to a more suitable part of the road.

  • The lampost stump has now been removed by contractors this morning (25/01/24). Please advise when reinstatement of pavement is scheduled as the site is surrounded by the required barriers and boarding which are currently blocking access to domestic residence driveway in a restricted parking area.
