  1. The reason the rainwater flows over the pavement on Bathwick Hill is that only about a quarter of the grating is effective. Most of it has been installed higher than the level of the gutter. This ought to be fixed. 2. This particular drain (as shown on the map) is blocked as well. This needs to be unblocked. 3. Negligent road surfacing in the past has raised the road height and reduced the height of the kerb, so excess rainwater flows over the pennant stones. The height of the kerbs need to be restored. 4. Higher up the hill (past Woodland Place) another drain is blocked, which could lead to rain saturating the walls of the vaults of Woodland Place - their front walls are below one side of the pavement. This too needs to be unblocked.
