Unable to acess bridleway from the cycleway on the east side of A14

Adroddwyd drwy mobile yn y categori Other yn ddienw am 21:57, Gwen 15 Medi 2023

Anfon at Mid Suffolk District Council a Suffolk County Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 4999242.

Dropped kerb access to bridleway is blocked by crash barrier. Unclear where the bridleway is as there is another crash barrier adjacent to the slip road and then dense hedge thicket, but the sign suggests the birdleway should be accessible from the cycleway that crosses to the eastern slip road.

  • The armco barriers at this point effectively disconnect the cyclepath on the roundabout from Haughley Bridleway 051 which starts here...a good example of a lack of joined up thinking by National Highways when it comes to cycling and walking infrastructure in major road projects

  • Council bounced this to highways agency who said they weren't going to change the crash barriers. They say the bridleway is accessible by walking past the crash barriers on the slip road. This is all overgrown. They said they would cut it but don't know if they have yet (mid Oct 23)
