Footpath upgrade is not step-free - disability issue
Adroddwyd drwy desktop yn y categori Pavements/footpaths yn ddienw am 14:44, Gwen 15 Medi 2023
Anfon at Milton Keynes Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 4998013.
1) The footpath is not step-free. This is to do with disability access. The steps need changing to a simple direct ramp.
2) The gravel footpath surface is not compatible with a disabled mobility aid such as a hand powered wheelchair. The surface is also difficult to push a childs buggy. The surface needs a resin treatment to make it sound.
3) Travelling west from the marker, parallel to the rail line, for a few hundred meters the public footpath is blocked under the rail underpass. Has the footpath been closed with proper online notification? Since blocking a footpath is a criminal offence a reasonable question is: on which date will the public footpath be reopened?
Please note all construction work to the south is screened off from the public footpath by a fence to the south of the public footpath..

Photo shows the path is not step-free. This is a disability issue.

Both the parish and city councillors have been notified of this issue.
After many months the footpath is still blocked and the path is still not step-free and there has been no proper explanation of why this is so and when the issue will be resolved.
I guess MK hates active travel. Meanwhile billions are poured down the drain with HS2 and EWR.

Yn parhau i fod ar agor, trwy holiadur -
The issue 3) above has now been fixed and access under the rail bridge is now opened.
However issue 1) and 2) still remain.
