Tree fellingl construction - approved?

There is a notice from a construction company stating that tree felling is in progress here. I am not aware of any planning notices/approval being in place here. Please could the approval for this be verified? Has the Woodland Trust been consulted? Have Tree Preservation Orders in the area been checked? This is a beautiful area of woodland, which is an increasingly precious barrier against climate change and pollution and needs to be protected.
