Just to say that, thanks to the man with truck / brush, it was looking best it's been in years yesterday ie no litter, at least to Thornwood. So well done.

Unfortunately, on this busy stretch you still have not got to grips yet with trashed bollards, discarded road junk (cones, sandbags, triangular signs), commercial waste left out randomly, graffiti on black street bins, flytipping esp. next to those bins, overflowing recycle bins, dumped estate agent signs et al.

Given the number of, at best 1/3 full, council low loaders that whizz up and down this stretch multiple times every day but don't stop to pick any of it up until the public report each and every instance (your job not ours) and this has been going on now for at least 6 years, I would suggest managers need a change of policy / plan.

Nor does any GCC operative routinely, proactively check for recurring issues & arrange uplift. It's all a game of never-ending whackamole. And communities continuously suffer as a result.

It took about 5 years to get the street sweeper with excellent results, so it proves it can be done if you want it to be done. Please do it. Thanks.
