Dead tree in Leesons Hill

Adroddwyd drwy desktop yn y categori Tree Requires Pruning yn ddienw am 22:48, Gwen 23 Mehefin 2023

Anfon at Bromley Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 4710332.

There is a huge dead tree on a bank in Leesons Hill to the left of the junction with Sunnyfield Road. If the tree or any part of it fell it would be a serious danger to traffic and pedestrians and could also damage the back fences of the houses in Clarendon Way.

  • This tall, dead tree in Leesons Hill was reported in June and Bromley Council was working to resolve the issue on 25 August. It is now October. Any news as to when the issue is likely to be resolved? I reported the dangers so that my conscience would be clear should the tree cause a serious accident. The responsibility is now with Bromley Council.

  • Thank you for your comments. The completion of the trees removal has been chased up with the contractor who will undertake it as a priority.

  • The issue has not been fixed as the huge dead tree I reported is still dead and still standing. As I have mentioned before, if the tree or any part of it should fall on passing traffic or pedestrians the responsibility now stands solely with Bromley Council as it has been informed of the situation.

  • My apologies, the enquiry appears to have been closed down in error. The location of the tree makes access particularly difficult with MEWP required and ideally access from residents garden if possible. The works have been chased up with the contractor who will undertake them as soon as possible.

Postiwyd gan Bromley Council am 10:00, Dydd Gwener 9 Awst 2024

  • Thank you for your email informing me that work is now "In progress". The work was shown as "In Progress" on 23.06.23; as "Fixed" (it was not) on 25.10.23; as "In Progress" on 03.11.23; and again I am told today, 09.08.24, that it is "In Progress". Could it possibly be that the work is too difficult for your contractors? It is a rather large, dead tree, possibly an oak, on a bank and overhanging Leesons Hill.

Postiwyd yn ddienw am 11:12, Dydd Gwener 9 Awst 2024

  • Thank you for your comments and apologies for the delays. The contractor has been chased up again and will prioritise the completion of the works.
