Previous case ref: 4024697 - return of yellow traffic cone on parking area by 49 Fallodon Way

The yellow traffic cone with 'no stopping' symbols has again appeared on the public highway adjacent to 49 Fallodon Way (close to where a sign reading "Polite Notice", "Please keep clear" is attached to the street-facing side of the fence of no.49). The previous case reference was 4024697. I also noticed it there before the Easter holiday, so it may be that it has occupied the road for several weeks. As there are no longer any legitimate roadworks to the street, this seems likely to be a claim to exclusive parking rights on that part of the public highway by a resident.

The cone is still there; it has not moved. I notice that the plastic of the cone was formed with raised letters "BCC" (see photo below taken 20 May 2023). By appearances, it may be that the cone is Bristol City Council property, taken and used unlawfully to reserve a parking area on the public highway for private use, or just to exclude others from parking in this location.

I also see these cones on a regular basis. It would appear the resident is regularly using cones to block parking for their own purposes.
