School Parents Blocking Dive on daily basis

Every morning and afternoon, the parents of children who attend Wavendon Gate Primary School use our road (Gable Thorne) as a car park. They block all the drives in the street and also park on the pavement forcing all pedestrians to walk on the road. I have witnessed on a couple of occasions pedestrians nearly being hit by these cars as they have no where else to walk. Please can we have something done about this. I , along with other residents of Gable Thorne & Gregories Drive have contacted the school about this but they say there is nothing they can do and can only request parents not to park in our road. I noted a few months ago another resident, they live on Gregories Drive but their garage is accessed via Gable Thorne had some white lines painted outside their entrance, can this be implemented along all of Gable Thorne to stop inconsiderate/ dangerous parking?
