Derelict building

The old 'Happy Shopper' building on the mini roundabout by Swan bridge is the first thing you see when you enter Pulborough from the south and frankly it looks like crap. Hardly a great welcome to the village. The building is dilapidated and vandalised, it's got a fence on the outside and now a "#save the a29" banner hanging from it, the whole thing is a terrible eyesore and has been like that for years. I'm sick of seeing it every time I drive into the village and I think it's high time something was done. An identical situation has just happened in Fareham (see https://www.hampshirelive.news/ news/ hampshire-news/ owner-derelict-fareham-threshers-store-8231592) or just Google "Fareham Threshers". There's a very clear precedent for council intervention in such matters so I believe it's now your responsibility to ensure the building/land owner bring this building to a satisfactory standard as it's currently an ugly blight on our village.
