Road water still not draining

This is an ongoing and repetitive problem with the drainage in this Close. Since before Christmas 2022 the road has gathered surface water. Despite slow drainage or evaporation, when the level does reduce, any rainfall raises levels again. The photos show how it has risen overnight to greater than the kerb in places. It also means accessing vehicles is compromised for several residents. Some who have young children. Beneath the water the road surface is deteriorating and is now a hazard to small vehicles in particular. The access to a garage compound is compromised by the deepest section of water. Damage to vehicles and claims to the council for repair are increasing likely. It could also become the case that lower lying properties may experience flooding if levels continue to rise.
