Elfingrove negative effect on Yorkhill neighbourhood

Anfon at Glasgow City Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 4050037.
Residents have been told that with the increase in commercial use of our neighbourhood, Elfingrove in particular, street cleaning and parking enforcement would increase. This is not happening.
Since Elfingrove opened in November 2022 our neighbourhood streets are awash with litter thrown in gutters, glass bottles left in parking spaces and outside close doors. I have even witnessed women and men peeing directly in front of flats in Regent Moray Street. The same sorts of things happened during Elfingrove in previous years.
Along side this, customers of Itison/Elfingrove are parking on double yellow lines, in unmarked bays, on corners, in motorcycle parking and in turning spaces. I know it's Elfingrove customers as I see them park badly and head over to skate.
Unhelpfully, Itison has placed diversion signs on roads that send drivers around in circles with no apparent destination which then increases the traffic on our small roads.
Allowing large commercial events to occupy public spaces for weeks on end has a negative effect on the neighbourhood and residents.
Step up Glasgow City Council and look after your council tax payers!
I'm afraid the problems I outlined persisted throughout Elfingrove's presence in Yorkhill. The Elfingrove structure is still being removed despite closing 5 days early on the 3 January. Unfortunately, there is still litter in our streets that was dropped months ago. Glasgow City Council seems to feel okay about reaping the monetary rewards of renting out public spaces with no thought to mitigating the effects on the surrounding neighbourhood. Very disappointing.
