The north side of the road leading onto the short cycle path is often obstructed by parked vehicles rendering the path unusable for its intended purpose of facilitating safe crossing of Oxford road for cyclists travelling into Oxford.

The road to the east of the cycle path entrance needs to be marked with double yellow lines for a sufficient distance to permit safe and reliable entry to the path by cyclists heading west along Newman Road.
