Subsidence on footpath and adjoining properties

During the 2022 summer heat wave subsidence has appeared on the footpath, within the rear entry to my property and cracks have begun to appear on my living room walls. I am aware that the roots of trees along Hughenden Drive have been affecting other properties along the street and it would seem that my property and the rental property next door are now suffering damage as a result of tree roots within the clay soil.

Leicester City Council issued an enquiry reference number on 1 September 2022 but there has been no further contact or action to date by the council regarding this issue,

Received a response from the Council today with Public Liability Claim Form attached. Basically the only option available to me is to go through my insurers and their subsidence experts!!!

Insurance company structural engineers have advised the cause is suspected to be root induced clay shrinkage subsidence exacerbated by vegetation. Intrusive investigations now required to confirm the situation.
