A tall oak tree that borders the rear our garden has been identified with considerable growths of King Alfred’s Cakes & Ganoderma fungi around its base, as well as being covered from base to crown in ivy. Further inspection indicates that much of the tree is already dead and at risk of falling and therefore potentially very dangerous and requiring attention.
