Pavements over grown

95% of pavements on the A29 sections within the village are over grown by at least 50%. They all need digging out and clearing. It is impossible to walk two abreast, and children in buggies are especially vulnerable from HGV traffic, as well as speeding cars.

We seem to have reached a cul-de-sac in this request/discussion. We are not seeking to make pavements wider - just that we would like the pavements that do exist to be cleared so that pedestrians can use the full width, and not be faced by masses of vegetation.... We are also seeking help from the Community PayBack scheme, and they will be contacting Highways to liaise about this...you can see from the photos already submitted how wide the pavements could be, in their original state. You will understand that the PC does not have the resources to do this.

It is proving to be very difficult to make people listen to these concerns. We appreciate the budgetary issues.

No one has contacted me, nor has there been any sign of the problem being recognised. We shall keep trying.
