Very large and dangerous pothole in Vigo Road, Andover

This is a large 120cm x 40cm pothole that is 5-6cm deep and will only get worse with the wet weather. It is to be found close to the junction of Silkweavers Close on Vigo Road and is central in the carriageway.

  • The authority are obviously aware of this problem as it has now been marked with white paint. I hope that in the mean time no cars or cycles are damaged and that no accidents are caused by hole.

  • When the hole was marked with paint I was hopeful of a repair being carried out. However, 6-7 weeks on the paint marking has worn away and the hole has got bigger.

  • This has still not been repaired and many other holes are appearing, it's a dreadful section of Vigo Road. I suppose it will take a cyclist to have an accident to encourage the council to get it sorted.
