New "zig zag" fencing on footpath difficult to see at night

New zig zag fences have been installed on the shared use path, presumably to slow path users down. Disregarding the fact that people will just swerve around this pointless fixture - These are not well lit and dangerous to users in the darker hours of the day! Please can something bright/reflective be applied to the fences, to prevent an accident?
