Traffic lights

Why put another set of traffic lights outside of a residential road, when a roundabout would of been better. As there is another set of traffic lights just up the road about 20 yards away. You do know traffic on chestnut avenue is one of the busiest roads with traffic at a stand still for 20 minutes or more at peak times. from asda roundabout to the cricketers arms roundabout, and I though the idea was to reduce pollution and traffic waiting but it seems that every council likes to add more traffic lights everywhere but to put traffic lights outside a residential road. That's going to add to waiting times further. Just to add traffic lights on M27 Junction 5 Eastleigh the junctions of the roundabout get blocked off by traffic and cant go because of heavy traffic and don't keep the junction clear for others. Maybe introduce yellow box junction on roundabout between Stoneham Lane and wide Lane to airport.
