Dangerously high grasses obscuring vision

On the A24 Findon bypass, there is a turn-off (right) to Findon Village, and I turn right here every week. The grass on the central reservation is getting higher and higher and this obscures the vision of oncoming, very fast traffic. Last week it was extremely dangerous and difficult to turn right. I had to creep out into the path of oncoming traffic, in order to see whether I could proceed. It is an accident waiting to happen, and as cars are travelling at 50+mph, it would be a catastrophe. The grass on the central reservation needs cutting down URGENTLY. Please do not ignore this. I tried to report to Highways England but was redirected here. Please kindly acknowledge that this has been received and noted. I do not want anyone to get hurt. Thanks, and kind regards Lesley

I have now personally reported this three times. I reported it as an emergency/hazard on Wed 16/6, Wed 23/6 and Friday 25/6. A man named Chris refused to give me the reference number for this case as this is confidential. I was told the grass would be cut by today (Friday 25/6). I feel that Highways are not acting responsibly and acting in haste as they should be. Terrible service WSCC Highways.

I was told by it would be sorted within 5 days, the week before last. It’s still not cut and is terrifying dangerous to turn right, as I had to this morning. It is incredible to me that this serious problem is being ignored. Will it really take an accident before there is some action? Truly shocking that several requests have been made and it’s still being ignored.

Finally some cutting back of the verge has happened, but it is nowhere near sufficient to provide adequate visibility, and the area remains lethally dangerous. I am at a loss to understand why the job was not properly completed. It would now be possible to see a car as it smashes into you, but there is still no clearer visibility where it counts, i.e. to see what is approaching along the A24 at 50m+mph. I am incredulous that this was considered acceptable, and I still believe the situation presents a very real danger to life. I cannot fathom how responsible contractors were allowed to leave before cutting the whole area of danger back. I am advised that it will be August before the work is completed. Once you have committed to turn right, there is no option but to proceed into the path of oncoming traffic, and it is simply not possible to see what is coming. It still seems to me like an accident waiting to happen.
