Narrow road and very tight corner not signposted

Alpine Road is narrow and the marked corner by the school entrance is a very tight bend. Traffic from the forest Road direction often swings out dangerously around the corner into Atholl Road, which it continues into. The sharp bend should be signposted with a warning sign to help prevent accidents.

  • Vehicles turning the corner from Atholl Road into Alpine Road also tend to cut the corner because the bend is deceptively sharp. They then conflict suddenly with vehicles taking the bend safely but necessarily slightly wide when travelling in the opposite direction.
