Last year's plastic sheeting put down to contain the annual weed growth at this site has lifted with the wind (it was never properly secured to begin with). Someone needs to fix this before it's back to square one again.

  • Email from Project Manager at City Property (Glasgow):

    I note your concerns about the condition and appearance of the former burgh hall and have discussed this with our property inspector. Because of the current working restrictions in place, we are unfortunately limited to procuring emergency works only at this time. We will, however, be seeking to arrange for the boarding to the upper floor windows to be re-secured, and also address the issues with the terram layer and vegetation, as soon as we can.

    4 years on. Council 'suddenly' discovered the building was unsafe last year. (Try periodic checks in future.) So it is was fenced off. Now the building is overgrown again, the grounds are overgrown again, and the fenced off pavement is overgrown too. Superb management.
